     Meunier is the unsung hero of dominant approved grape varietals of Champagne behind the internationally praised Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Champagne's rise to fame is in part attributed to a marketing campaign in the early 1900's where the top houses sent artists to the south of France armed with cases of Champagne and a goal to paint marketing materials that links Champagne to glamorous celebrations. This holiday keeps in time linking sparkling wine to good vibes.

     Dec 16, 2020 is the day when BTC crossed 20k. This was something news pundits, leading economists, and traders said would never happen. Making this day a dual holiday, first to celebrate the grape that has no international holiday to call its own, second to have a day for crypto fans and investors to gather with friends to share stories, memes, and toast to a more prosperous future.

     Karen McNeil in her book stated the pronunciation of Meunier as "moon-YAY". In the meme/crypto space, "Moon" is to have the price of the asset have high returns. Linking the unsung hero of Champagne to this asset class seems entertaining and fitting enough of a backstory to start a holiday.
